How To Make Layouts Using Gimp 2.6
Started By
Hello.Im not really sure if this is the correct place to post this so Mods are free to move it elsewhere^^
Since this is my first Basic Help topic it may not sound too good:_

Open GIMP. Select "File" from the menu and click "New." In the new document dialog, make the size of the document what you want for your web page. Since 1024x768 is the most common monitor setting, use this for the pixel width and height. Click "OK."

Select the "Paint Bucket" tool from the toolbar and use it to fill the background layer with the color your want for your web page. Skip this step if you want to keep the white background.

Click on the "New Layer" icon in the "Layers" panel and select the new layer. Then select the "Rectangular" selection tool and click on the area where you want to place your banner. Use the "Paint Bucket" tool to fill the banner with color or apply a gradient with the "Gradient" tool.

Repeat the previous step to create all other features like navigation buttons. Then select "File" and click "Open as Layers." In the dialog, browse to the images you loaded and open them. They will appear in their own layers.

Resize and position the images in each layer to where you want them in the design.

Select the "Text" tool from the toolbar and type in text you'd like to add.

Select "File" and click "Save." Name your file and save it as a high resolution JPEG.

Download to a basic image website and put the coding on your page^^

Well that is basically it for now.I hope you like it.Comments are accepted greatly below:)
